Welcome to Athens. On arrival at the airport, you are met by our Prestige representative and transferred privately to your central hotel. Once settled, we recommend a gentle stroll through the historic heart of Athens, where neoclassical façades, lively cafés and small shops line the lanes of Plaka beneath the illuminated Acropolis. Enjoy your first Greek evening at leisure, perhaps with dinner in a traditional taverna under the night sky. Overnight in Athens.
After breakfast, join a guided morning tour showcasing both the classical and contemporary faces of the city. See the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games, before passing the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square. Continue to the Acropolis, where the Parthenon, Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike and Erechtheion rise above Athens as symbols of its Golden Age. Finish at the Acropolis Museum, where light-filled galleries bring ancient sculpture and friezes to life. The afternoon and evening are free to explore at your own pace. Overnight in Athens. (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the marina to board your VIP full-day swimming cruise through the Saronic Gulf. Sail first to Agistri, where crystal-clear turquoise waters invite you to swim or snorkel in a relaxed, resort-style setting. Continue to Metopi, an uninhabited islet of white sand, vineyards and shallow blue water, often visited by sea turtles and a dream for nature lovers and photographers. The final stop is Aegina, with its charming harbour, pistachio stalls and seaside tavernas, you’ll have time to wander the lanes or simply relax by the water. A Mediterranean buffet lunch, unlimited wine, refreshments and filtered coffee, sun loungers, multilingual escort and a live DJ create a fun yet stylish atmosphere. Return along the Athenian Riviera in the late afternoon and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Athens. (B,L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and a leisurely morning in Athens ideal for last-minute shopping, café-hopping or a relaxed walk through the National Garden. In the afternoon, a private transfer brings you to Marina Zea to embark the elegant M/S Panorama. Settle into your C Category Lower Deck cabin, meet the crew and fellow guests during a welcome sail-away reception, then cruise towards Cape Sounion. As the sun sets, admire the dramatic silhouette of the Temple of Poseidon perched high on the cliff, a breathtaking introduction to your Aegean voyage. A welcome dinner is served on board as you sail overnight towards Ikaria. Overnight at sea. (B,D)
Wake to the rugged coastline of Ikaria, legendary for its therapeutic springs and long-lived inhabitants. In the morning, enjoy a swim stop at Seychelles Beach, a cove of luminous blue water and bright white pebbles best accessed by yacht. A barbecue lunch is served on deck as the ship continues to Ikaria’s quaint port. You may join an optional excursion into authentic villages and wild landscapes, perhaps combining a short hike with a dip in one of the island’s natural thermal springs. The afternoon is free to relax in a café, swim again or experience one of the island’s traditional village fairs if operating. Overnight in Ikaria. (B,L)
Early morning sailing brings you to Patmos, often called the “Jerusalem of the Aegean”. Here you may join an included or optional visit to the Monastery of St John the Theologian and the Grotto of the Apocalypse, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as the atmospheric medieval town of Chora. In the afternoon, cruise on to Lipsi, a small island that feels like a step back in time. Enjoy an al fresco lunch and a swim stop among the protected islets surrounding Lipsi, home to rich marine life. Later, stroll the harbourfront, sample local dishes in a seaside taverna, or taste the island’s famous wine. Overnight in Lipsi. (B,L)
Sail in the early morning towards Kalymnos, a hidden gem in the Dodecanese and historic centre of Greece’s sponge-diving tradition. En route, enjoy a refreshing swim stop in the open sea. On arrival, you may join an optional tour to meet local producers, learn about sponge harvesting and see first-hand the various stages of preparation before they reach the market. The rest of the day is at leisure to discover Kalymnos’ authentic villages, walk one of its many hiking paths or admire the dramatic Esperidon fjord, often described as one of Greece’s most beautiful sea inlets. Overnight in the quaint port of Kalymnos. (B,L)
Today the ship heads towards the white-and-blue Cyclades. Stop at Levitha, a tiny island inhabited by a single family who raise animals and welcome visiting yachts during summer. Enjoy a tranquil swim and a relaxed atmosphere, perhaps taking a short walk along the goat paths for outstanding sea views. Continue to Amorgos, the island made famous by the film The Big Blue. With its dramatic mountains, quiet bays and laid-back villages, Amorgos feels timeless. In the afternoon, you may join an included or optional experience where locals introduce you to psimeni raki, a traditional liqueur flavoured with honey and spices. Evening at leisure in the medieval Chora or by the waterfront. Overnight in Amorgos (Katapola). (B,L)
This morning, join an included or optional visit to the iconic Hozoviotissa Monastery, clinging to the cliff high above the sea and offering breathtaking views over the Aegean. Afterwards, sail to the Small Cyclades, stopping first for a swim in the clear waters off Koufonisia, where you can take out kayaks or paddle boards and explore nearby sea caves (subject to availability and conditions). In the afternoon, cruise around Schinoussa before arriving in Iraklia, a tiny island gem with a truly slow pace of life. With its walking paths, small harbour and unspoilt coastline, Iraklia is ideal for those who appreciate nature and simplicity. Evening free to experience genuine laid-back Greek island living. Overnight in port. (B,L)
In the morning, arrive at Serifos, a quintessential Cycladic island known for its bright light, clear waters and unspoilt character. Enjoy a swim at one of the secluded beaches best accessed by small ship, followed by a barbecue lunch on board. Later, go ashore to explore Chora, the picture-perfect hilltop village of narrow lanes, whitewashed houses and panoramic sea views. Optional experiences may include a visit to a local winery or a ceramic studio where you can learn basic pottery techniques. In the evening, gather with your fellow travellers for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner, reminiscing about the hidden gems you’ve discovered across the Aegean. Sail overnight back to Athens. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, disembark at Marina Zea between 8:30 and 9:00am. Your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to Athens Airport or a central Athens hotel for your onward arrangements. Your Unexplored Horizons journey comes to an end, but the memories of remote islands, warm seas and Greek hospitality will stay with you. (B)
