Benvenuti a Venezia, the city of water, art, and dreams. Upon arrival, meet your driver for your included transfer to the hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax or begin exploring this floating masterpiece at your own pace. Wander along narrow lanes and across arched bridges, where the air carries the sound of gondoliers’ songs and the scent of espresso from hidden cafés. Venice awakens every sense, from its shimmering canals to its marble palaces glowing in the late afternoon sun. Overnight in Venice.
After breakfast, meet your guide for a walking tour through Piazza San Marco, the heart of Venice. Admire the Doge’s Palace and cross the Bridge of Sighs, symbols of the city’s past grandeur. After a lakeside lunch at leisure, continue to Milan, Italy’s cosmopolitan capital. Today is a highlight of your journey a ride aboard the legendary Bernina Express, one of the most scenic train routes in the world. Depart Milan early and travel north to Tirano, where you’ll board the panoramic train bound for St. Moritz, Switzerland. The route climbs past alpine meadows, glaciers, and viaducts that defy gravity a UNESCO World Heritage railway. Admire sweeping views as you cross the Bernina Pass before descending into the Engadin Valley. Return to Milan in the evening, filled with awe from one of Europe’s great travel experiences. After breakfast, explore Milan with your guide. Visit Piazza del Duomo and marvel at the Gothic cathedral’s spires reaching for the sky.
