The journey connects Istanbul and Cappadocia by air, then follows a varied overland route through central and western Turkey. Alongside the well-known archaeological sites, you can experience a Cappadocian wine tasting and jeep safari, a gozleme lunch near Ephesus, a guided visit to Gallipoli and an Istanbul food walk. The mix of city, landscape, history and local flavours gives the eleven days a clear sense of progression.
On arrival, meet the local representative and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and enjoy your first impressions of Istanbul at your own pace.

Breakfast at your hotel. Explore Istanbul's historic heart with your guide, visiting Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The day brings together Ottoman court life, monumental architecture and the colour and energy of one of the city's most famous markets.

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the airport for your included flight to Kayseri. In Cappadocia, visit the Turasan winery for a tasting of regional wines before taking to the valleys by jeep. Travel from Goreme towards Ortahisar and the Uzengi Valley, where pigeon houses are carved into the rock, then continue towards Sahintepesi and return via the Pancarlik Church area. Transfer to your hotel after the tour.

Breakfast at your hotel. Discover the region's rock-carved history during a full-day excursion to an underground city, the Goreme Open Air Museum and Uchisar's natural fortress. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and learn about Cappadocian handicraft traditions, including carpets, tiles, onyx and pottery.
An early morning hot air balloon flight may be arranged at additional cost, subject to weather and availability. A Turkish evening show with dinner is also optional at additional cost.

Breakfast at your hotel. Set out early across central Anatolia, stopping at the 13th-century Sultanhan Caravanserai, a reminder of the trading routes that crossed this landscape. Continue to Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana before travelling onward to Pamukkale.

Breakfast at your hotel. Explore ancient Hierapolis and its Necropolis, then see Pamukkale's white travertine cascades. Continue towards Selcuk to visit the remains of the Temple of Artemis, once counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, before travelling to Izmir.

Breakfast at your hotel. Walk through ancient Ephesus with your guide, taking in its library, theatre and temples. Near Selcuk, enjoy an included lunch featuring Turkish gozleme in a nomadic-style tent. Continue to the village of Sirince, where there is time to explore its streets and shops. Local wines may be sampled or purchased at your own expense. Return to Izmir.

Breakfast at your hotel. Travel north to Bergama to visit the Asklepion, the ancient healing centre of Pergamum. Continue to Troy, where archaeological remains meet the stories of the Trojan War, before arriving in Canakkale.

Breakfast at your hotel. Cross the Dardanelles and continue to the Gallipoli Peninsula. Visit ANZAC Cove, the Nek, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine and the 57th Regiment Memorial. The sites and your guide's account offer time to reflect on a chapter of history with particular resonance for Australian travellers. Afterwards, return to Istanbul.

Breakfast at your hotel. Discover Istanbul through its everyday flavours on a guided walk beginning around the Spice Market. Sample Turkish delight and nuts before crossing the Galata Bridge and continuing through Galata towards Beyoglu, with stops for baklava and Turkish coffee. Continue your food discoveries with tastings of local favourites such as fried or stuffed mussels and pickles; sesame bread rings and roasted chestnuts may also feature along the way. The tastings scheduled as part of this walk are included. Any additional purchases are at your own expense. Transfer back to your hotel after the tour.

Breakfast at your hotel. Take one of the included scheduled shuttle transfers to Istanbul Airport, operating at 09:00 and 13:00. If neither departure suits your onward flight, an additional airport transfer can be arranged at extra cost.

Arrival transfers are included for flights arriving into Istanbul Airport on Day 1. Departure transfers on Day 11 operate by shuttle service from Istanbul Airport at 09:00 and 13:00. Guests arriving or departing outside these scheduled shuttle times, or travelling via Sabiha Gokcen Airport, may request a private transfer at an additional charge.
