Travel to Ephesus this morning to explore one of the great ancient cities of the Aegean region. Its library, theatre and temples reveal the ambition and sophistication of a city that once played an important role in the ancient world. Walking among these remains brings its public spaces and cultural life into perspective.

Enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Sirince. Here, the experience shifts from monumental ruins to village atmosphere, with time to browse local shops and opportunities to sample the village’s wines. Any wine-tasting arrangements and charges will be advised locally.

Return to Izmir after your visit, with dinner included this evening.

Continue north to Troy, the archaeological site associated with the legendary Trojan War. Explore the remains of this storied settlement before travelling onwards to Canakkale for the evening.
